Hello!

With this stunning template by Studio LeeLou and help from the Showit team, I get to share with you my most favorite website ever. Can you believe this is my fourth website? After two blogs and now two photography websites I’ve finally created something I am extremely proud to share. A website that tells a story, your story, and mine all at once.

I think this cohesive and authentic website came to be because I worked at it from one main place of inspiration. My now new slogan.

Capturing the Feeling of Freedom

What does that even mean?

The phrase was entirely inspired by YOU. Randomly I had an idea to ask my followers on Instagram their favorite part of their photoshoot with me. Two separate people responded by including the word “free” in their descriptions and several others said something similar.

And just like that. I was left speechless. You said it better than I could’ve. I mean my photography style has always been about letting people open up in front of the camera so that I can most accurately capture who they are. But the word free, I had never used to describe the process.

But that’s exactly it.

In 2018 I met some of the most incredible friends who inspire me in my work still today. You know what it’s like to have friends where you can be totally yourself around them? You have space to say the wrong things and time to say the right things. They give you grace, they celebrate the deepest parts of you, and you tell them everything. I mean everything. It sounds scary, and exciting, vulnerable, and beautiful all at the same time, right? If you have been so lucky to have a friend or significant other in your life where it’s a similar story you know that being around that person or people evokes the deepest feeling of freedom. Freedom to be you at your best and your worst. Freedom to say anything because there are no lies, no hidden secrets, no deep burdens that have not been addressed. I think we are our best selves when we get to live in that place of freedom.

I found that freedom through my friends, family, boyfriend, and relationship with Jesus. And it is the best feeling in the world.

My desire is to help others live in that same place of freedom.

That is my desire during your photoshoot, that I could help you evoke that feeling of freedom and in return capture it. When you are free that is when what is within you shows on your outer appearance. It is the most beautiful thing.

So as I walk into this next phase of my photography business, I am walking into each email, photoshoot, final gallery, everything seeking to bring people to their freest selves.
